Mireille started her QiGong and Taichi practice in 2015, after having explored movement from a dance perspective for more than 20 years. She is a student of Barbara Drieskens, focusing on the internal aspects of Tai Ji Quan as well as the Chinese theory of the 5 elements or phases. She attended intensive seminars with Kong Mien Ho master in traditional TaiJi and QiGong. For Mireille, Taichi and QiGong are more than a daily discipline, but a path that permeates all aspects of movement and life.
Mireille is a Dance Teacher, and a QiGong Practitioner
QiGong is a Chinese healing tradition that developed over 5,000 years ago. It refers to the practice of nurturing, cultivating and balancing the internal energy or “Qi”.
Everybody can practice QiGong, young and old, ill or healthy persons. It is composed of simple movements that are typically repeated, strengthening and stretching the body, increasing fluid movement, enhancing balance and improving the awareness of how the body moves through space. Movements reflect the harmony between Yin and Yang towards a better health and wellbeing on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.
